Accessibility

Our commitment
At Life Lumina Hub, we are dedicated to empowering young people with lifelong skills, confidence, and self-reliance through interactive workshops, educational kits, and online training in a supportive environment. We want our website to be welcoming and usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, neurodiversity, or specific access needs (such as visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, or learning differences).
We are committed to making our website as accessible and inclusive as possible, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. While we are not a public sector body, we follow these guidelines to ensure fair access for all visitors.
How accessible this website is
We aim for full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our website is built with accessibility in mind, including:
- Clear, simple language suitable for young people and diverse readers
- Good colour contrast for text and interactive elements
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and content (no mouse-only traps)
- Alternative text for images where meaningful
- Structured headings and landmarks for screen readers
- Responsive design that works on mobile, tablet, and desktop
However, as the site is in development (with some placeholder content), it may not yet fully meet AA conformance across all pages. We are actively working to improve this.
Known accessibility issues
Current known limitations include:
- Some placeholder or dummy content (e.g., repeated “Lorem ipsum” text) may not be fully structured or readable by assistive technologies.
- Interactive elements (e.g., any future forms, video embeds, or workshop booking tools) need testing for focus indicators, target size (minimum 24×24 pixels per WCAG 2.2), and error identification.
- PDFs or downloadable resources (if added, e.g., educational kits guides) may require tagging for screen readers.
We plan to:
- Conduct a full accessibility audit in the coming months.
- Fix identified issues as a priority during site launch and ongoing updates.
- Add features like text resizing options, high-contrast mode, or dyslexia-friendly fonts where beneficial.
If you encounter any barriers, please tell us so we can address them.

Assistive technologies we support
Our site is tested with common tools including:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Browser zoom up to 200% without content loss
- Keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, arrow keys)
- High-contrast modes in browsers
