Helplines

A comprehensive list of key helplines in the UK for emotional support, mental health, crisis support, loneliness, abuse, and related issues, organized by age group. Many services are available to all ages or overlap, but I’ve grouped them based on primary/target focus. These are free, confidential, and widely recognized (sourced from NHS, Mind, Age UK, and other official/charity sites).

For immediate danger or life-threatening situations, always call 999.

For urgent (non-emergency) mental health support, call NHS 111 (press option for mental health) or use 111 online.
